About the Flight Training Loan

A cosigner is not required for a Stratus loan if you qualify on your own.  Given that this is a student loan, many applicants are surprised that they do indeed qualify without a cosigner.  However, Stratus will contact you if a cosigner is needed to move forward with your loan process.

At this time a Stratus loan can only be used for a career training program such as our Zero Time to Airline program. It cannot be used for an individual rating.

Stratus bases the approval of all loans on the following factors (for both borrower and co-borrower:
– FICO Score
– Current Income
– Assets

The initial underwriting occurs within 1-2 hours. If all documents required are submitted to Stratus, they process and prepare the final loan documents within 1 day. They will fund the loan within 3 business days after all parties have signed the loan documents.
You may prepay the loan in whole or in part without penalty.
Stratus does a soft pull of your credit initially. If approved, they will make a hard inquiry.
