CIRRUS Student Onboarding Checklist
Welcome to Jax Beach Aviation’s Cirrus Training Center. We’re excited to support you whether you’re transitioning into a Cirrus for the first time or refining your proficiency, our team is here to help you fly with confidence. Our CSIP-led training is designed to be structured, practical, and tailored to real-world flying, ensuring you’re prepared to make the most of your Cirrus experience.
Before First Lesson:
- Log into FlightCircle.com and confirm access to your JBA account
- Sign Renters Agreement
- Review Payment Options and Set Up Payment Method in Flight Circle (eCheck/ACH for bonus points)
- Find your lesson on the schedule.
Before Second Lesson:
- Create a Cirrus Approach Account and purchase the required course (Your cirrus instructor will
provide guidance here): - Upload Documents to Flight Circle. Documents needed and How-to Upload
- Watch First 12 min of ForeFlight for Student Pilots
Before First Solo
- Get Renters Insurance
- Get Student License from IACRA
- Sign Up for Medical Certificate exam Appointment
- Sign Up for Med Xpress and fill out form Requesting Class I Medical (Consult your CFI)
- Upload Copy of Renters Insurance, medical, pilot certificate to Flight Circle (include expiration dates)
- Complete Pre Solo Test and Review with CFI
- Read Rental Checkout Procedures and confirm understanding from your JBA CFI
Materials Needed “Eventually”
- iPad (We suggest ipad Mini 5 or newer w/ cell capabilities)
- ForeFlight Subscription
- Download Cirrus Flight Operations Manual from Apple Books to Ipad or iPhone
- Paper or Digital Versions of these Documents, and the FAR/AIM (app or book or foreflight document)
